Walk with interview May 8, 2021

The irises have bloomed! We have the opportunity to enjoy this show for only a few days.
The half-day walk will be very easy and very photographic, in the Greve area, along the river and on the first hills and will give us the opportunity to get to know the world of Iris Pallida (the iris). Did you know, for example, that the essence of this Chianti flower is in the most famous perfumes in the world …?
What we will see: the river, the ancient mills, artists’ houses, the villas on the ridges and obviously the GIAGGIOLO. LEONARDO, who cultivates these Chianti flowers, will welcome us in his cultivation, carrying on this ancient tradition. He will explain the uses and all the curiosities related to iris pallida!

DETAILS:

ROUTE: 8 km loop – easy, on dirt roads and paths.
WHAT TO BRING: hiking shoes, water and a snack
TIMETABLE: meeting at 9.00 am at the BUS car park which is located immediately after GREVE going towards PANZANO, on the left. Expected return at about 12.30
COST: 10 EURO per person for organization and environmental guide accompaniment. View of the iris company.
As per anticovid provisions: mask, spacer, sanitizing gel.
The guide is in possession of R.C. by law, the participants in the excursion are NOT covered by personal accident insurance. In case of bad weather we will notify the cancellation of the walk by 6.00 pm of the previous day.
